We carefully modified the front panel to create a drop-down door, preserving the integrity of the antique inlay while unlocking a completely new level of functionality. Mounted on a custom iron stand, it now floats above the floor, transforming heavy storage into an airy, architectural statement. Measuring 36″ x 18″ x 26″H, this piece is a jewel box of history. The surface is adorned with traditional bone inlay, but the magic lies in the mechanism. The front panel lowers smoothly to reveal a spacious interior—perfect for storing bottles and glassware as a chic low bar, or hiding media components beneath a television. The custom metal stand provides a modern industrial counterpoint to the romantic, old-world artistry of the chest.
