19th Century Merchant Box on Stand

Splendid 19th century Indian painted teak cash box used by merchants in India to store cash and ledgers. Box shows traces of original painted finish and original hardware. It has been mounted on a later iron stand with a bronze patina, ideal to use as an end table.
